Seasonal Wedding Centerpiece Ideas

By Florence Woods

If you're looking for wedding centerpiece ideas, using seasonal food, fruit and colors is a great idea for saving money and helping you to stick to a theme.

When you are considering how you are going to be able use seasonal themes in your wedding, consider how edibles and flowers will help you create a scene to remember.

The Holidays

If you are holding a wedding during the coldest months of the year, that does not mean it has to be colorless.

If you're thinking about a flowery centerpiece, consider using holly and ivy, complete with brightly colored berries. Combine them with red or white flowers and add in some fir cones and candles for good measure.

Check the craft stores and find out what wedding centerpiece ideas you can get there!

Autumn

When the vegetables and fruits start ripening, fall explodes into amazing red, orange and yellow!

If you're interested in keeping your wedding centerpiece ideas colorful, look no further than the harvest. Gourds, pomegranates and corn are all colorful ways to celebrate. Oranges can add bags of fun to any wedding party.

We also used black sparkling candles which looked stunning as the light faded and made the colors of the fruit and vegetables stand out even more.

Consider adding some black grass to tone down the colour a little and add some contrast.

Think about how beautiful a wedding decked in red and orange would be. You could even coordinate your bouquet the same way.

Putting in the effort to match the season can make a huge difference, so consider what your wedding centerpiece might look like.

Summer

Summer is a very popular time for weddings and you will find that the flowers that you want are going to be in full bloom and less expensive than they are during other times of year.

Sunflowers, iris, gladioli and roses are just a few of the striking and colorful flowers available at this time of year.

Also consider how beautiful the gentler, smaller flowers can be. This is where cornflowers and daises come in, as does meadow grass. You will find that these flowers do very well in the bouquets of your bridesmaids and in their hair.

Try using summer fruits like pineapples, mangoes, even coconuts, which can be displayed whole or sliced and arranged decoratively. They'll smell delicious and can even be eaten if the guests get peckish between courses!

When you're looking for great wedding centerpiece ideas, take some time and consider when your wedding is going to be held. Make the most of the seasons!
