Is Getting Married Outdoors A Good Idea?

Many couples dream of getting married in the splendid surrounds of nature. Whether on a summer beach or in an autumn field, it is a fantastic way to celebrate your engagement. That said, outdoor weddings are not for everyone. This guide is intended to guide you through the decision of whether to get married outdoors or not.

As for the arguments that may mean that you should better not get married outdoors, start considering that outdoor marriage can be a fickle thing, which many more potentially unexpected events taking place than with a tradition al wedding. If you or your spouse are not exactly keen on the unexpected, it would be better to plan an indoors wedding.

One specific reason for not getting married outdoors is if you would be disappointed by the weather turning sour, Of course you can take precautions, such as hiring umbrellas in the case that the ceremony is interrupted by unexpected rain, but if changing weather is something you'd rather do without, find a building to get married in.

If you don't like stress or responsibilities, and if you think that you will already be stressed out at your wedding anyway, better not to add the extra complication of holding it outdoors. Of course, the people that are helping you organize the ceremony can act as a mitigating influence on this point.

One thing that you absolutely need to consider is how your guests are going to react to the wedding being held outdoors. Would the grandmothers be comfortable with an outdoor marriage ceremony, or would it be too hot or too cold for them, or is the chosen place just too difficult to reach?

OK - now about the considerations that speak FOR an outdoor wedding. First of all, an outdoor marriage ceremony will be an absolutely memorable thing, and will delight your guests far more than an indoor one. If you want your wedding to be remembered, get married outdoors.

One good reason to get wed outside is if there is a place that has a special meaning to you. Whether it's a beach you always go to, or the park where the proposal was made and accepted, a special outdoor location is a great rational to organize a wedding there.

If you like events with pizzazz and that are unusual compared to the norm, you will love getting married outside. It can be much more dramatic and memorable than a ceremony inside a hall or usual place of worship.

One thing that definitely helps is if you are an organized person, and are able to adapt to a plan B if the main option cannot go ahead. A good wedding organizer can help on this point, if organization is not your strong suit
