How to Plan a Fall Themed Wedding by Yourself

Fall themed weddings are so beautiful and characteristic of a couple who really understands theme weddings and how spectacular they can be. You do not have to go over the top to have an autumn wedding. Themed weddings are often touted as expensive and only done by an expensive wedding planner. This simply is not true. You just have to accent with a few key items to enhance your wedding plans. This is not an addition to your already tight wedding budget. All you have to do is refocus a little on some key items and it will look like you were the master wedding planner!

Many online stores sell discount fall wedding invitations. Consider all of the beautiful fall designs and colors they offer. This is the first glimpse your wedding guest will have of your theme, so it is important to start here and let the expectation grow. If you are creating the invitations yourself, you can punch a hole in the top of the invite, buy some inexpensive ribbon and tie it through the hole. Consider ribbon with the colors of autumn, such as deep oranges, pumpkin, reds, and browns. In addition, on the back of the envelope, you can seal it with a fall themed seal or emblem for extra added effect.

Fall ceremony accents are very beautiful and can also be inexpensive. Consider tying a bale of hay or laying decorated pumpkins by each pew or aisle of seats. Potted plants with fall flowers are also a great way to tie in the autumn theme. Potted plants are less expensive than flower arrangements. You can accent the plants with an assortment of fall colors and foliage. Your goal should be to stick with the main colors of fall, such as burgundy, orange, and brown, and the rest will follow.

There are a lot of ideas for a fall "themed wedding reception. The obvious would be to use a lot of candles and load up those centerpieces with the seasonal colors. Inexpensive options are floating fall candles in a bowl filled with water. Decorate the outside of the bowl with fall accents or colored crystals for some extra added sparkle. Get some personalized themed napkins and personalize them for fun. Include at every table a short story of why a fall themed wedding is so important to you and decorate it with ribbon so all of your guest can read it.

Lastly, the fall wedding favors are a must. This is your chance to tie the theme together and to keep your guest remembering your wedding for many days after the actual event. There are many autumn themed favors on the market today, in all shapes, sizes, and prices. You can buy place card holders, picture frames, and many other unique fall favors. This is the gift that your guests have to remember your wedding so make sure its special!
