One of the very best getaways for a beach vacation in California is sunny Huntington Beach. With many diverse sports such as surfing, biking, boating, skateboarding, fishing, golf, tennis, and beach volleyball - everyone can get into the game and find something to enjoy. Even after the sun goes down, you'll find something to do on Huntington Beach.

Even the briefest of family beach vacations to Huntington Beach should include a visit to the International Surfing Museum, where some of the most treasured surfing artifacts are stored.

Other attractions ideal for Huntington Beach include the Huntington Beach art center, and the surfer's hall of fame. There are plenty of other things to do here besides the beach, which is perfect for families who want more to do than swim.

Huntington Beach is also within short traveling distance to many of Southern California's most popular attractions and sights. Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Wild Rivers Water Park, and the Aquarium of the Pacific are all less than 20 miles away from Huntington Beach. After a fun day of exploring and riding rides, the beach is an ideal place to return to.

4. Only make it a public proposal if you're extra certain she'll say yes! You don't want it to turn into a humiliating experience do you!

5. Guard the ring like it's your precious! Don't bury it in sand or give it to a Waiter to serve with desert. You'd only deserve to lose it!

6. Go down on one knee! True, it's old and corny but she always imagined her proposal would be like that, so don't let her down!

7. Practice your words! Do it in front of the Dog and Cat! You'll feel silly for sure, but the alternative is that she'll tell all her friends how you stuttered through the most important few words in both your lives!

8. Go for a romantic setting over big and lavish! It's all about the little things; the music, candles, flowers, lighting and food!

9. If you're planning on getting married quickly, then propose in the winter and aim for a spring wedding! Otherwise propose in the spring and you'll have a whole year to prepare!

10. Finally, enjoy it! This is your big moment! Just make sure you've thought through every eventuality and you'll be fine! Good luck!

Family Law: Some Basic Things You Should Know

There is a lot to know when it comes to family law. In some cases understanding all the differences and terms within the process may become difficult. Each state also has their own laws regarding how things work with the family process. With each state, you may run into different things that are required in order to marry as well as some of the other things that pertain to the family.

Since there is so much to family law, we will concentrate more on the wedding aspects rather than two people who are marred and living together. For the most part, it is good to note that two people unmarried and living together do not have the same protection as those who are married. Engagement runs along the same along the same lines and does not mean anything more than a promise to marry. For that reason, when two people get engaged a woman is not supposed to keep the ring if they break up.

Other gifts that are given throughout the duration of the engagement, both people can keep. Marriage is a contract between two people, which brings many advantages. Two people that are married can file taxes together and enjoy the benefits of a family partnership under federal tax laws.

Other things that are beneficial are government, employment, estate, medical, and death benefits. Additionally, there are discounts, housing, and family benefits.

Each person wishing to marry, must have the capacity to do so. They need to have an understanding as to what marriage is and what it means. If two people marry when drunk, the marriage is not valid. Most states will not allow two people that are closely related to marry.

In some cases, there are marriages found invalid after so many years. This tends to happen when one of the people in the marriage do not reveal another marriage before going into a new one. There are other reasons due to age and other things as such that could render a marriage invalid, but there are some protections for the other persons in many of the states.

In any case, the state that you live in should be where you check for the family laws. For the most part, no two states are the same with the laws that they have. So, knowing the laws of the state that you live in is the best protection.
