Choosing Your Wedding Song

By Charlie Berriez

Let's face it; choosing the ideal wedding song should really be a moment you both share because more often than not, the two of you will have your favorite song that just seems to capture the way you feel about each other. As you know, musicians are for ever creating songs which are ideal for couples and which can be used at weddings irrespective of what your age is.

Traditional music such as the wedding march is a staple of a marriage ceremony but the wedding song should be one that reflects on both of you. There are plenty of songs to choose from and when you start trying to find one the list gets pretty long. Try to narrow it down to a few songs you both like and then decide from there.

As long as you both enjoy the song, then it really doesn't matter at all who actually chooses it. Of course, the wedding song should ideally be a song which is centered on both of you, unlike a groom's cake which for the most part can never be compared to the wedding cake. Of course, you could always write your own song and have it recorded but then again, during such a hectic time it may not be in your best interests to voluntarily add more stress.

No one can deny the fact that a wedding song which is played for the first dance between the bride and bridegroom is exceptionally special. Essentially, you should try to ensure that the song is suitable for a slow dance so that the moment can be a memorable one considering that the two of you will now be Mr. And Mrs.

Of course, if you plan to have a band play the song then it's vital to make sure that they are familiar with it before the big moment arrives. Irrespective of whether or not you choose one of the old classics, or whether you choose one of the newer songs which have a love theme, don't for a minute worry about whether or not others will enjoy the song because after all it is your day.

You can choose from soul classics or pop rock hits. Bands such as Aerosmith, Journey, Bon Jovi and REO Speedwagon are always top favorites. Singers like Lionel Richie, Percy Sledge, Luther Vandross and Stevie Wonder add a soulful element to a wedding song. To show your mate how much you love them you can always get your wedding song as their ring tone.

The younger generation has their pick of newer artists for a wedding song too. Vanessa Carlton, Kelly Clarkson, Oasis and Usher are more contemporary. Remember, choosing your wedding song should be fun and reflective of your life together. Nobody said you had to go the traditional route when picking a song.

On the other hand, if you really want to pile on the sappiness, then you can always opt for a song by The Carpenters or Air Supply for example. Then again, if you intend avoiding tradition and you would both like to spice things up a little, then you could of course choose a song by Guns N Roses, Whitesnake, or Billy Idol. The bottom line is; you need to make sure that your wedding song is they great start to your new life.

Unique Ideas To Pick Excellent Summer And Beach Wedding Favors

By Aaron Hu

The summer season is a time of warm weather, bright vistas, and calls to distant locales for vacation. It is also considered the busiest month for weddings. Taking this into account, there is a potential problem when thinking about using this season as a wedding theme. It is too popular. If you want a summer wedding that is simply fashionable then that probably won't bother you; however, if you are the type that wants to make your special day an original, then you need to make some changes. Other than decorations, a great place to start are your summer wedding favors. Here are some great tips to help you find interesting and unique gifts for your guests.

Think beyond the accepted themes for the season. There are more images for this time of year than you might think. You don't even have to rely on the common place images for beaches. Take a look around for ideas that can be artfully adapted to your favor choices. A great example is using less common sea life as the imagery and motif for your guest gifts. Why stay with the same old starfish and dolphins. There are many other creatures in the sea to choose from for this purpose? At the same time don't be overly determined to stick with a choice that you can't locate, there are just too many other available options at your disposal.

Experiment with different colors as this plays a big part of the season. You want to take advantage of the wider choice of colors that you might not have available for use at any other time of the year. The best thing is to find favors that have bright colors that catch the eye.

Find gifts that can actually be fun for all your guests. Another way to keep your gift ideas fresh is to give age appropriate gifts that are capable of satisfying each recipient. It can be something reminiscent of summer games from older guest's childhood or something that children can immediately play with like water guns. You will find your self saving money and getting guest gifts that prove popular.

Use the location to guide your choices. Every season has a unique look and every place experiences the seasons in a original and unique way. Look to the iconic symbols of summer in your hometown or the location you are holding your wedding for present ideas. It will promote local pride and give your wedding a fresh take on the summer theme that can't be found anywhere else. Also if your wedding happens to be out of town this is just another way to add an special exotic touch to your nuptials

Think of gifts that can be useful on a summer vacation. Your guests have probably taken time out of their vacations to come witness your marriage so why not give them something that can be used on their other summer trips? One suggestion for this would be travel stationary to help them record their adventures or photo frames to hold pictures from their adventures. Use your imagination to find favors that convey your thanks but that still achieve this purpose.

In the end this is a part of year that is about having fun and enjoying time spent with others. If you can convey that in your beach and summer wedding favors, this will help to make your nuptials unforgettable for everyone involved.
